Decentralized compute · Robinhood Chain
Rent GPUs straight from the people who own them.
Grid is a compute market with no company in the middle. Hosts list their machines on-chain, you pay ETH into a contract, and the host hands you SSH access directly. Billed by the minute; whatever you don't use comes back.
- Payment
- ETH, held in escrow
- Billing
- Per started minute
- Platform cut
- None in the contract
How a rental works
Three contract calls. Nothing else sits between you and the machine.
-
listMachine()
A host lists a machine
GPU, memory, price per hour and the address of their node go on-chain. The host's own computer serves the rental; Grid stores nothing.
-
rent()
You pay the contract, not the host
You pick the hours you want and send the ETH to the market contract. The host's node sees the rental and starts your container.
-
endRental()
Stop whenever you like
End the rental yourself, or let it run out. The contract pays the host for every started minute and refunds you the rest.
What changes when nobody is in the middle
| A rental platform | Grid | |
|---|---|---|
| Your money | Held by the company | Held by a contract until the rental ends |
| Billing | By the hour, up front | By the minute, unused time refunded |
| Access | Through the platform's servers | Straight from the host's machine |
| Who can list | Approved providers | Anyone, with a bond after a 30-day trial |
| Who can switch it off | The company | Nobody. Hosts pause their own machines, that's all |
Run a host
Earn ETH from a GPU that would otherwise sit idle.
- You set the price per hour and are paid for every started minute, withdrawable any time.
- Each rental runs in its own container on your machine. Renters get SSH, nothing more.
- Your first 30 days need no bond, with rentals capped at 0.01 ETH each. After that you lock GRID to stay listed.
- Stopping the node pauses your listing. A running rental's container stays up until it ends.

GRID, the coin
It does one thing.
It is the host bond
Hosts lock GRID to stay listed. The bond is never spent: it waits seven days to come back, and part of it is burned only if a host is proven to have cheated a renter.
It is never a payment
Compute is paid in ETH, always. GRID buys nothing on Grid and is not needed to rent.
It launches on Creora
With the Robinhood Chain launch, on the Creora launchpad. The whole supply goes on the curve; there is no team allocation.
Where it stands
- BuiltThe market contract, the GRID bond registry, the host node and the web app, tested end to end on a local chain.
- NowDeploying to the Robinhood Chain testnet and running the first real GPU host.
- NextThe Robinhood Chain launch, with GRID on Creora and bonded listings.
- LaterSwarm jobs: one job spread across many hosts at once, and more than SSH inside a rental.
